$10,000 AIMA Canada - Hillsdale Research Award funded by Hillsdale Investment Management, Inc.

AIMA Canada is proud to announce its fifth annual research award competition for academic excellence in the study of hedge funds.  The prize of $10,000 will be awarded to the winning paper in November 2009.  A short form of the winning paper will also be guaranteed publication in the Canadian Investment Review in 2009.

The competition is open to both Canadians and non-Canadians alike.  For non-Canadians, the research must have been conducted while they were resident in Canada. 

Papers will be judged anonymously by an adjudication panel comprised of academics drawn from business schools across Canada and practitioner members of AIMA’s Education and Research Committee.  The adjudication panel is managed and maintained by Paul Bates, Dean of the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University in Hamilton.

Academics, students and practitioners who are interested in submitting papers can do so through the AIMA Canada web site found at www.aima-canada.org.  Official rules of the competition, as well as deadlines, and eligible research topics are located at this address.
